A rustic board with folded salami, marinated peppers, olives, mozzarella, grissini and tomatoes

Antipasti Grazing Board with Marinated Peppers

A classic Italian-leaning board, built around contrast: salty cured meats, creamy cheese, sharp pickles and sweet peppers. The key is shape and spacing, not quantity.

Method

  1. Take the cheeses out of the fridge 30 minutes before serving.

  2. Choose a large board. Start with the bulky items: place the mozzarella in a bowl or directly on the board, and the olives and peppers in small dishes.

  3. Fold the salami into quarters and fan the prosciutto in loose ribbons so they look generous and relaxed.

  4. Fill the gaps with tomatoes, Parmesan chunks and artichokes, keeping similar colours apart.

  5. Drizzle the cheeses with oil and honey, scatter with basil and flaky salt, and tuck the breads along the edge. Serve immediately.

Serving ideas

Works for 8 as an aperitivo spread, or for 4 as a light dinner with a bowl of dressed leaves.
